1978 Pontiac Trans Am Rental Added in Florida

Rent Sports Cars has added the 1978 Pontiac Trans Am through the USA Movie Cars network. The vehicle sits in Satellite Beach, Florida, giving crews working in the state a local option for Florida picture car rental projects that need a late-1970s sports car appearance.

Spotlight on this 1978 Pontiac Trans Am

This 1978 Pontiac Trans Am carries a Mayan Red exterior and matching red interior. It is a two-door coupe equipped with T-tops. The listing notes an original owner and includes a Pontiac 400 engine paired with a Turbo350 automatic transmission. A GM 23-channel citizens band radio is also present.

Producers can use these details to judge how the car fits a scene. The red color scheme and T-top roof provide a clear visual from the late 1970s. The two-door body style keeps the profile compact for camera framing. Crews filming in Florida can place the car in driveways, parking lots, or roadside shots without needing to transport a vehicle from out of state.

Rent Sports Cars and the Florida Picture Car Market

Rent Sports Cars focuses on sports car rentals and now lists this 1978 Pontiac Trans Am for picture work. The site works alongside USA Movie Cars to connect productions with vehicles located in Florida. Satellite Beach sits on the east coast, which can reduce travel time for crews shooting in central or northern parts of the state.

USA Movie Cars works with state picture-car sites such as Florida Picture Cars to help productions find local picture vehicles. This network approach lets location managers search for Florida film car options without starting from scratch each time a project moves to a new region. Productions that need a sports picture car can check the combined listings to see what is already in Florida rather than arranging long-distance transport.

History of the 1978 Pontiac Trans Am

The 1978 Pontiac Trans Am belongs to the Firebird model line that Pontiac produced as a two-door sports coupe. That year the Trans Am trim carried the 400 cubic inch engine and the Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 transmission as noted on the listing. T-tops were a popular option that allowed open-air driving while keeping the structural roof rails.

The body style and color choices reflect the design language common in the late 1970s. Red exteriors with matching interiors appeared on many performance-oriented cars of the period. The citizens band radio was a period accessory that matches the era when CB communication was widely used by drivers. These elements give the vehicle an authentic look for scenes set in that decade.

Florida Picture Car Rental Uses

Crews can place the 1978 Pontiac Trans Am in period scenes set in the late 1970s. The car works as a character vehicle for an individual who owns a performance coupe. It can also serve as background texture in street scenes or parking areas where other vehicles from the same era are present.

The vehicle suits establishing shots that need to convey a specific time and place. Still photographers can use it for automotive or lifestyle shoots that call for a red two-door coupe. Music video productions and branded content shoots can park the car in the frame to add visual interest without requiring modern modifications. Event planners sometimes request classic cars for displays, and this Trans Am fits that category as well.
