Rent Sports Cars has added this 1959 Chevrolet Corvette to its roster through the USA Movie Cars network. The vehicle is located in Hockessin, Delaware, giving local and regional productions a period-correct sports car option without needing to arrange long-distance transport. Crews working on film, television, or commercial projects in the area can now consider this classic for scenes that call for authentic late-1950s styling.

Spotlight on this 1959 Chevrolet Corvette

The listing describes a 1959 Corvette convertible equipped with a removable hard top. It features a four-speed manual transmission and is noted to run well for both driving and stationary idling. The exterior carries the correct original color for the model year, paired with original hubcaps that match the period appearance. Interior details include a black scheme that complements the overall vintage presentation.

This combination of a convertible body with hard-top option and period-correct trim makes the car suitable for productions that need visible accuracy in close-up or background shots. Producers can use it for establishing shots where the vehicle sits in a driveway or along a street, or for scenes where a character drives into frame. The two-door layout and manual transmission also allow flexibility for both static photography setups and short driving sequences on closed roads or controlled locations.

Rent Sports Cars and the Delaware Picture Car Market

Rent Sports Cars focuses on sports car rentals and now includes this Corvette as part of its expanding picture-vehicle options. The Hockessin, Delaware location places the car within reach of productions filming throughout the state and in nearby mid-Atlantic markets. Local crews benefit from shorter transit times and the ability to scout the vehicle in person before committing to a rental.

USA Movie Cars works with state picture-car sites such as Delaware Picture Cars to help productions find local picture vehicles more efficiently. This network approach reduces the need for crews to contact multiple owners across different regions. Delaware picture car rental searches become more straightforward when listings like this one appear on both national platforms and targeted state directories, allowing location managers and picture car coordinators to match vehicles to scripts without extensive travel.

History of the 1959 Chevrolet Corvette

The 1959 Chevrolet Corvette belongs to the second generation of the model line, a period when the car had already established itself as an American sports car with European-inspired proportions. Convertibles were the standard body style, and many owners added the optional hard top for year-round use or varied visual appeal. The four-speed manual transmission was a popular choice among drivers seeking more engagement than the available automatic.

Exterior colors and hubcap designs were specific to each model year, and listings that note correct original color and hubcaps help productions maintain visual consistency with the era. The two-door layout and compact footprint made the Corvette easy to place in residential or downtown settings without overwhelming the frame. These traits continue to make 1959 examples useful for projects set in the late 1950s or early 1960s.

Delaware Picture Car Rental Uses

Delaware picture car rental productions can place this Corvette in period street scenes, character-driven sequences, or background texture shots. Its green exterior and black interior provide a clean, recognizable look that reads well on camera in both daylight and night setups. Commercial directors often look for vehicles that convey a sense of heritage or lifestyle, and this car fits those needs without requiring additional set dressing.

Still photographers and music video crews can use the convertible configuration for open-top shots or switch to the hard top for a more enclosed appearance. Event planners and branded content creators sometimes incorporate classic cars as static displays or interactive elements at launches and gatherings. The manual transmission and noted running condition support short, controlled movements on set when a production needs the car to move under its own power.
